Rising Together: The Black Experience with the Police in America is an impactful exhibit curated to shed light on the complex dynamics between the BIPOC community and law enforcement in the United States. Hosted at the Google headquarters in New York in 2019, the exhibit delves into the historical context, systemic challenges, and personal narratives that define this relationship. Through a combination of multimedia displays, interactive installations, and thought-provoking artifacts, Rising Together invites visitors to explore the myriad of experiences, perspectives, and struggles faced by BIPOC individuals when encountering the police. The exhibit aims to foster understanding, empathy, and dialogue around issues of racial justice, accountability, and community-police relations.

Featuring poignant photographs, oral histories, and testimonies from activists, scholars, and community members, Rising Together serves as a platform for reflection, education, and advocacy. By amplifying voices often marginalized or silenced, the exhibit strives to ignite conversations and inspire positive change towards a more equitable and just society.

As part of the exhibit, we were also asked to create a series of posters capturing the state of mind of being pulled over by a police officer. The posters received the Judges Choice Award at the STA 100 Competion, 2019. This project was a collaboration with Isometric Studio.
